Given that eating behavior is formed since early childhood in interaction with parents, it is essential to study the parental role in obese women's emotional eating experiences. Accordingly, the present study aimed to describe and interpret the parental role in the emotional eating experiences of young obese Iranian women. Methods: The participants in this qualitative study that was conducted using a hermeneutic phenomenological approach were 17 young women with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 and above. The women were selected using purposive sampling with maximum variation. The data in this study were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews that were conducted individually and face to face. Data analysis was performed using the seven-step analysis method proposed by Dickelman et al. Results: The main theme revealed from the data analysis was “parenting experiences”. This theme was further categorized into 6 subthemes including “the insecure attachment symbol”, “alleviation of psychological distress caused by parents”, “misunderstanding of food as a magic parenting wand”, “over-providing food security for the child”, “contradiction in fostering overeating behavior with destructive blaming”, and “child learning”. This study aimed to identify the harms and problems of helicopter parenting based on the lived experiences of mothers of children with behavioral problems. Methods: This study was conducted qualitatively using the interpretive phenomenology approach in 2019. To this end, 19 mothers living in Bandar Abbas who had children with behavioral problems and visited the counseling center of Hormozgan University were selected via purposive sampling and surveyed using semi-structured interviews. The interview data were collected, recorded, and then coded and classified into main categories. Results: The themes that emerged in this study were classified into 5 main categories and 17 subcategories. The main categories included “the mother’s experience of the parenting style, harms to the mother, harms to the child, the factors affecting the choice of this parenting style, and maternal views on continuing parenting”. This study aimed to evaluate the qualitative validity of a lifestyle-based intervention in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) by examining their experiences. Methods: This study employed a concurrent embedded mixed methods design. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted in the form of a clinical trial that applied a lifestyle-based intervention to patients with ulcerative colitis. The patients’ experiences were assessed twice through the focus group interviews. The data from both interviews (posttest and follow-up phases) were analyzed using thematic network analysis. Results: Based on the results of this study, 3 global themes, 10 organizing themes, and 21 basic themes were identified and summarized in three thematic networks of benefits, barriers, and disadvantages. Benefits included satisfaction with attending the meetings, knowledge acquisition, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes, and partial physical improvement; barriers included physical symptoms, need for retraining, giving importance to the topic, and restrictions in physical activities; and the disadvantages included the negative impact of the group and the negative impact of the training program. Multiple computerized databases (PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, Google Scholar, Iran Mede, and SID) were searched for their titles and abstracts to select full-text English papers published without time limit. A total of 20 articles were selected to be reviewed.Results: The key attributes of coming back into existence identified in this study were providing opportunities for thinking and self-reflection on living affairs, releasing the mind to focus on the inner life, and making conscious efforts to explore and discover the original dimensions of one’s being. Antecedents included the bitter and unforgettable experience of physical pain, psychological suffering, failure and hopelessness in interactions, and doubts about one’s self-identity and philosophy of being. Consequences included self-acceptance, a sense of liberation and freedom, and positive and creative development in life to achieve more transcendent goals. Conclusion: The results of this study can be helpful in identifying the needs and problems of clients and developing appropriate care plans and nursing interventions.}, keywords = {Burns,Life,nursing care,qualitative research}, url = {https://jqr1.kmu.ac.ir/article_91728.html}, eprint = {https://jqr1.kmu.ac.ir/article_91728_65939e8a9bbc2912d96cded63bcf17c5.pdf} }
